If you've read my previous post, you'll know that on Thursday i travelled to London to go and see Wicked the Musical. I thought i'd do a quick outfit/face/hair post to let you guys know what i wore.
For makeup i tried to go pretty natural as i knew i'd be in London all day, and didn't want to be constantly re-applying eyeliner or anything. I created a very subtle smokey eye with my Barry M golden palette, and then slicked on some of my favourite Mac Lipstick in shade 'Lovelorn' for a pretty pink look (i was slightly channelling Glinda the Good in the spirit of Wicked-sad i know) Again, i wanted my hair to be quite fuss free so i went for a loose french plait on either side and tied them together on the lower part of my head at the back.
I bought this lovely drop hem peasant blouse a few weeks ago from Missguided and i absolutely love it, it's so comfortable and so easy to style. (Missguided are really coming up trumps recently, their summer collection was gorgeous!)All i needed was a trusty pair of jeans and my much loved ankle boots and i was good to go.

Yesterday was a great day for me as i went to see my all time favourite musical, Wicked, with my best friend Elise. If you haven't seen it before here's a quick summary. The story takes place before and during the Wizard of Oz, and the simplest way i can think to describe it is imagine if the camera moved slightly to the side during The Wizard of Oz. It's basically what happens behind the scenes, and how the characters we came to know and love became so iconic. Believe me, once you've seen this show- you will never look at Dorothy and the gang in the same way again. It was my third time seeing it-Wicked geek alert!

To start off with me and Elise went straight to the West End and had a coffee in Pret before having a look around some of the shops. We then headed back to Pret for a light lunch (if you haven't tried the halloumi and falafel wrap-you need to) before walking to the Theatre. After the show, we headed to London South Bank as the sun had made a special guest appearance and we thought it would be nice to sit outside near the water. We went to Giraffe and i tucked into BBQ chicken and chilli quesedilla's with chips. After our meal we headed home, singing Wicked songs at every stop along the way.
If you haven't seen Wicked i'd definitely recommend it, it's one for all the family and everything from the cast to the choreography to the costumes are incredible. Here's some pictures of the day!

My bedroom is in desperate need of re-decoration, and i've started to head to pinterest for inspiration on what i want it to look like when it (eventually) gets done. My obsession for trends doesn't stop with fashion, i also love to keep up to date with whats popular in interiors, and it seems that the latest trend is watercolours. I headed to youtube to have a look at the Dulex colour forecasts for 2015, and the watercolour trend was definitely evident.

My room is really small, and after 16 years of carpet, I'd really love to put down a wooden floor. Apart from being so much easier to clean (16 years worth of mascara is A LOT for one carpet to handle) i think with the addition of rugs and nice lighting it can look really chic and cosy. I've always been a fan of blues and greens so its lucky for me that they are among the colours dulex forecasted for 2015/16. I'm still a big lover of the scandi interior trend that was massive last year, so i'd like to incorporate that style into my room too. Here's some pictures i got from Pinterest of the kind of feel i want my room to have.
I just want somewhere that's really cosy and my little space. I do love my room but i went through a stage of 'lets stick everything i see on my walls' and now blue tack is adorning my walls like dots on a dalmation. It just looks shabby, and this kind of style could really give it a lift and make it a room that i can happily sit in for hours.
What kind of interiors do you like?

As i'm sure you're all probably aware, last Saturday was gloriously hot, and wanting to make the most of the weather i took the opportunity to dig out my new jumpsuit. It's really comfortable and light on the skin which meant un-avoidable sweatiness was kept to a minimum. Despite the loose fit, the cut is super flattering, and i find the halter-neck style suits me as i don't really have much of a bust (which also means i can go braless, meaning no sweaty underboob-yay!!) The thing i love most about this outfit is the low back, which gave me an excuse to show off my back and get my hair up and away from my neck, a necessity in such hot weather. I accessorised around the jumpsuit quite simply as i think it speaks for itself. I slipped on my trusty black gladiators (soooo comfy), and echoed the boho feeling of the jumpsuit with some wooden peace earrings, a few hippy bracelets, a cute little arm cuff and a gold anklet. I added a black leather rucksack as my bag of choice (aka suncream city-hello? I'm ginger) and i was good to brave the heat-for about two hours, before i gave up and sat inside watching Only Fools and Horses with the fan on full power. I'm British, okay?

First let me start this blog post with an apology for my absence over the last few weeks. Work has been crazy lately and as cliche as it sounds, i've really struggled to find some time. But i'm here now so on with the post!
I'm a self confessed tan-o-phobe (i know that's not a word but just go along with me, okay) My complexion is pretty pal (duh) and although i naturally tan quite nicely in the sun, i never seem to get on with self tan. It always comes out either blotchy, streaky, or it just doesn't show up at all. I've tried ST. Tropez Mousse with a tanning mitt before which i got on okay-ish with, but i'd still sometimes wake up with slight wotsit looking legs, even after spending hours trying to make it even. So when St Tropez bought out their new in- shower body lotion i thought i would try it despite feeling quite sceptical thanks to my previous failed endeavours.
First of all let me say that this product is the easiest tanning product to apply. You simply get in the shower, use your normal shower gel and then apply the lotion in exactly the same way as you would with any other moisturiser. The addition of wet skin makes it so easy to spread around. I tend to start at my legs and then work my way up, leaving my hands and feet till last when i've only got a small amount of the product left on my hands to avoid having streaky ankles or fingers. Then, turning the shower off, i get out of the shower and wait for three minutes (normally i brush my teeth or something) before stepping back in and washing it off, then patting (patting guys not rubbing) dry with a towel. Done. Easy. Peasy. Theres no vigorous rubbing, no sitting naked for hours waiting for it to develop and best of all NO STREAKS. It's literally the best thing i've ever used.

If you're expecting a product that will leave you looking like you've been living in the bahamas for two months after one use then maybe this isn't the product for you. But if you want to build a glowing, natural and sun-kissed looking tan over a few days then I'd definitely recommend it. It retails at £14.50 which is fairly expensive but still cheaper than other ST.Tropez products and it's definitely worth the price tag.
