ST TROPEZ IN SHOWER BODY LOTION

By 08:27

First let me start this blog post with an apology for my absence over the last few weeks. Work has been crazy lately and as cliche as it sounds, i've really struggled to find some time. But i'm here now so on with the post!

I'm a self confessed tan-o-phobe (i know that's not a word but just go along with me, okay) My complexion is pretty pal (duh) and although i naturally tan quite nicely in the sun, i never seem to get on with self tan. It always comes out either blotchy, streaky, or it just doesn't show up at all. I've tried ST. Tropez Mousse with a tanning mitt before which i got on okay-ish with, but i'd still sometimes wake up with slight wotsit looking legs, even after spending hours trying to make it even. So when St Tropez bought out their new in- shower body lotion i thought i would try it despite feeling quite sceptical thanks to my previous failed endeavours.
First of all let me say that this product is the easiest tanning product to apply. You simply get in the shower, use your normal shower gel and then apply the lotion in exactly the same way as you would with any other moisturiser. The addition of wet skin makes it so easy to spread around. I tend to start at my legs and then work my way up, leaving my hands and feet till last when i've only got a small amount of the product left on my hands to avoid having streaky ankles or fingers. Then, turning the shower off, i get out of the shower and wait for three minutes (normally i brush my teeth or something) before stepping back in and washing it off, then patting (patting guys not rubbing) dry with a towel. Done. Easy. Peasy. Theres no vigorous rubbing, no sitting naked for hours waiting for it to develop and best of all NO STREAKS. It's literally the best thing i've ever used.

If you're expecting a product that will leave you looking like you've been living in the bahamas for two months after one use then maybe this isn't the product for you. But if you want to build a glowing, natural and sun-kissed looking tan over a few days then I'd definitely recommend it. It retails at £14.50 which is fairly expensive but still cheaper than other ST.Tropez products and it's definitely worth the price tag.
