DIORSKIN FOREVER:REVIEW

By 06:00

Firstly let me start this post of with an apology, it's been so long! I know it's not really an excuse but I recently started an internship in London and as you can imagine I've been super busy. Just incase you were wondering, I'm doing a Fashion buying placement in M&S headquarters in Paddington. I'm in the kids department and I absolutely love it, I'll be very sad to leave next week but It's been a great experience that will hopefully help me gain a job in the industry when I leave uni next year. Anyway, on with the post!

On Friday I was sent by M&S to do a competition shop in Oxford Street, and while we were in Selfridges I was drawn to the Dior stand as I'd heard good things about their foundation. I had been using Mac which I did really like at first, but the second time i bought it, it was the wrong shade for me and wasn't really doing much for my skin. I ended up purchasing the 'Dior Skin' foundation and Air tan powder. Now I'll say right off the bat that this isn't a cheap purchase. All together it cost me £68, which is pretty expensive, but if you're looking for quality products then these are the way to go.

Starting off with the foundation. It's a lovely lightweight formula which makes it really blendable (is that a word?) It's got a matte finish but it still looks really natural and gives a really even coverage, which for me is pretty important as I tend to have quite patchy skin. Once it's on I can barely feel it, the texture is non greasy and doesn't make my face feel caked at all. The shade is perfect for me as I have pretty pale skin (shock) and it gives me a bit of colour whilst still looking natural. So far I absolutely love this product, and the best thing is you only need a really tiny amount so although it's quite pricey it'll last for ages. AND it's got SPF in it which is always a bonus!!

The second product is the Dior Skin nude Air Tan powder. The lovely lady that tested this on my skin used it more as a blusher for me but it can also be used as a face bronzer or for a natural contour. I always go for pink colours on my cheeks but I'm really loving the peachy hue that this powder gives. It looks very natural and again is very lightweight and soft on the face. It's got a velvety texture that blends really nicely on the skin. Being pale and a red head i'm never going to look tanned without spending 3 weeks in the Bahamas or something. But this powder really does give a really nice subtle, almost sun kissed look which is a rarity for me. Plus the packaging is gorgeous which, superficial as it is, is always a bonus for me.

Just in case you were wondering, here's the finished look with my other makeup on! I'll write below what other products I've used.
