PLEATS AND PLAITS
This past few weeks have been super busy, I've recently got a new job in a newly renovated restaurant that's opening tonight, and i've been in and out of training for the last couple of weeks, so it was nice to go up to Southend with Rachel to help make the most of my last free weekend. It was a lovely day and after having some lunch in my favourite cafe Utopia (sorry, i forgot to take pictures-maybe another blog post) we decided to have a walk along the sea front. I find it almost physically impossible to go to the seafront without getting doughnuts so i treated myself to a couple and i definitely didn't regret it.
SKORT, T-SHIRT, BOOTS, BAG, SUNGLASSES. All Topshop
JACKET. Forever 21
TIGHTS. Primark
Now for my outfit! Luckily, the weather was gorgeous but it still wasn't really hot so i threw on this chunky denim jacket over a t-shirt for a casual look. I snapped up this pleated skort in a Topshop sale back in January but have only worn it a couple of times when i've gone out clubbing, but I thought i'd get my money's worth and dress them down for the daytime. It was ideal for that day because although it was a lovely day, it was also really windy so i got the look of a skirt without the embarrassment of it blowing up in the wind (an experience i can definitely relate to) Now, if you have a fringe you can probably vouch for the fact that they are an absolute NIGHTMARE in wind, so i thought i'd save myself a lot of time messing about with it by doing two little french plaits on the top of my head, going into a high pony tail which i then back-combed for a bit of volume. It's a really easy hairstyle for when i just want to get my hair out of my face.
So that's it! Hope you enjoyed this post, I'll be back soon!
