THEY'RE REAL

If I had to choose any piece of makeup to take with me to a desert island it would definitely be mascara. If I'm in a rush or running late, I always try to slick some on as it makes me look so much more awake and wide eyed, whereas i could survive without foundation quite easily.

I'd been after a good mascara for a while, and after trying various different brands I decided that I didn't mind spending a bit more money on one, as I'd definitely get my money's worth from it. My makeup mad friend Cirbie works for Benefit and persuaded me to try the 'They're real' mascara, and as I'd already heard lots of good reviews about it, I decided to give it a go.
Benefit claims that:
94% saw dramatic length and volume
90% saw base to tip curl
94% saw visible lift
100% saw long wearing results

I have quite big eyes, and normally find it quite hard to find a mascara that coats the majority of my lashes in one sweep without going over it again and again, which I didn't need to do with this. I really like how the wand really separates the lashes and fans them out. The colour is also very vivid meaning that if i wanted a more natural look during the day, wearing just the mascara with no eyeliner or eyeshadow and just a pop of pink on my lips would be enough.

The wand is specially designed, with a rounded brush on the end, which when applied vertically helped to add curl and volume to smaller lashes that are harder to reach when applying horizontally.

I haven't taken the mascara off yet, so I'm yet to see how easy it is to remove, however so far I'm really impressed. It still looks exactly the same as it did when i first applied it around 7 hours ago. It's quite pricey at £19.50, but if you want a really good, hard wearing mascara I'd definitely recommend this.
