NEW YORK FASHION WEEK:PART THREE

By 14:10

Here's the last part of my New York fashion week blog posts! I'll be blogging about London Fashion week in the next few days.

Anna Sui

Anna Sui is one of my all time favourite designers and i absolutely love this collection. Far from the stereotypical blacks and greys we see so much of in winter, this collection is bursting with bright colours, busy prints and ostentatious fabrics. Reminisint of a 60's music festival, every piece is wearable and it's that modesty that i love so much about Anna Sui.

Marchesa

Marchesa returned to New York fashion week this year bringing more than just a touch of Hollywood glamour with them. The clothes wouldn't have looked out of place in the Great Gatsby and the show overall had an elegant Downtown Abbey style feel to it, with the models hair teased into finger waves in typical 20's style.

Karen Walker

I wasn't really familiar with Karen Walker before NYFW but after this collection she's definitely a designer i'll be keeping my eye on. The 70's was a massive trend at NYFW, with designers like Anna Sui and Rebecca Minkoff among many to be inspired by the decade, and Karen Walkers retro yet contemporary creations certainly don't pale in comparison. Busy prints, high hems, double denim and mixed leather and suede worn together all make for a super cool collection.

Delpozo

Delpozo's collection bought a touch of art to NYFW with colour blocking, floral motifs, oversized shoulder pads and funky hair bows bringing some fun to the catwalk. The clothes are feminine, youthful and free, and this is definitely a designer i'll be keeping my eye on in the future.
